The beach sits right next to Ajaccio Napoleon Bonaparte Airport along the coastal road south of the city. It's easily reached by car from Ajaccio town centre in around 10–15 minutes. There's parking close to the beach, making it straightforward to transport your kit. The spot is well signposted from the main road.

Ricanto offers mostly flatwater with very light Mediterranean chop — it's not a wave spot. The sandy bottom slopes gently, keeping depths manageable near the launch. L'Aero-club restaurant is located about 1.5 kilometres from the launch area and makes a great post-session stop. The presence of the rental facility also means there's usually a social scene around the beach during peak hours, so it rarely feels isolated.
