Keremma sits on the north Finistère coast of Brittany, on a broad dune beach tucked between Plouescat and Brignogan. North Finistère is genuine Atlantic Brittany — wild coast, real weather, and on the right day a fetch that makes itself felt. The beach faces NNW directly across the Channel, and the usable wind window runs from 250° to 70°, covering a wide sweep of westerly, northwesterly, northerly, and north-easterly directions. That's a broad palette, and it's a big part of why this spot operates year-round rather than being limited to summer. What sets Keremma apart is how tidal movement shapes the session. Multiple beach angles combined with tidal influence mean conditions shift as the tide moves — and at certain states of the tide you get stretches of calm, flat water well-suited to progression work. When the tide and wind combine differently, the water gets more textured and lively. It's worth checking the tide tables before you rig, and on a first visit the on-site school can fill you in on what the current tidal state means for conditions that day. School Kitesurf / Wingfoil Bretagne operates here, covering both kite and wingfoil — useful if you want a local read or need instruction. The launch area is wide and sandy, with dunes at the rear providing a natural windbreak while you rig up. Getting to the beach means heading to Plouescat and following the road out to the dune coast; parking sits behind the dunes with a short walk through to the water. For skill level: the wide wind arc and manageable beach make this a solid destination for intermediates. Beginners are best served starting with instruction rather than independent sessions on an unfamiliar tidal beach — the school covers that. Advanced riders will find more to work with when conditions build and the water gets moving. The tidal character is what demands the most respect.
