The south-facing bay catches the summer south-to-southeast thermal wind that develops over the Saronic Gulf and arrives onshore in the afternoon. Shallow, sandy bay suitable for beginners and intermediate riders. Local kite school operates in the bay. Calm morning conditions ideal for learning; afternoon thermal consistently reaches 12–18 kt. Season May–September.

About Anavissos

Palaia Fokaia is a former community and a seaside town in East Attica, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Saronikos, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 22.944 km2. Its population was 3,025 at the 2021 census.
