That flat-water character is the spot's real asset: a clean, manageable surface that lets newer riders concentrate on technique rather than surviving chop. The prime window runs January through March, when the NE monsoon is active along this coastline. Wind runs side-onshore at 10 to 20 knots, and the bay's orientation means the usable kite window — 195° to 325°, running SSW through west to NW — captures the monsoon flow at a useful angle. Side-onshore is the right condition for this place: it pushes you back toward the beach rather than out to open water, which matters when you're learning. About five kilometres north lies Lhoknga beach, a distinct and more exposed spot. Don't assume they're interchangeable — Lhoknga carries more swell and more challenge.
