The one you're waiting for is the Erez — a N/NW sea breeze that typically rolls in at 15–22 knots. In spring and autumn it's clean and consistent, laying down flat-to-chop water that suits freeride, freestyle, and steady progression work. Winter changes the character considerably: Mediterranean swells can build to 2–3 metres, which makes it better territory for wave riders with real board time under their feet. The prime windows are April through June and September through October. You get reasonable temperatures, solid Erez sessions, and manageable crowds. July and August carry a formal kiting ban — not a suggestion, it's enforced, and the beach is shoulder-to-shoulder with swimmers anyway. Spring also brings weekend restrictions, so check the current local rules before loading the car on a Friday or Saturday morning; the rules can vary and catching it wrong wastes a trip. Skill-wise, this spot is best suited to intermediates and up. The urban beach environment, variable wind directions within the arc, and winter swell conditions all reward solid kite control. Public transport is good, and there's seafront parking along the boulevard, though on busy spring and autumn beach days you'll want to arrive early or plan for a walk.
