Broad sandy bay 20 km north of Palermo airport, wedged between Monte Pellegrino to the west and Monte Gallo to the east; the bay mouth opens north-northeast over the Tyrrhenian Sea. Best winds are N, NNE and NE, arriving side-onshore from the right in 12–20 kt thermal gusts (April–October). Choppy conditions with NNE wind; shallow sandy seabed. Beach becomes very crowded with tourists in July–August. Schools and equipment rental on site.
