About Kaloot

Kaloot is a kitesurf spot tucked into the coastal edge of Zeeland, the Netherlands' most windswept southwestern province. With coordinates placing it along the tidal shores of this estuarine landscape, Kaloot sits in a part of the country where the sea doesn't behave like an open beach — it behaves like a working waterway. That distinction matters. The wind arc runs from east through south to west (90°–270°), which aligns well with Zeeland's prevailing patterns. Know your downwind escape before you launch and keep an eye on how far you drift during a session. Zeeland's windier months — typically autumn through spring — tend to deliver more reliable sessions than the height of summer, though summer wind does come through.
