Shallow lagoon beach on the Ria de Aveiro, inside a narrow barrier strip between the Atlantic and the lagoon. Nortada thermal (N) is cross-shore at 16-22 kt from March to September; flat water at low tide (perfect for beginners) and ~1 km wide at high tide. Famous for the colorful striped houses (palheiros) on the barrier strip. Kite school present.
