Tidal lagoon (Lagoa de Óbidos) connected to the Atlantic at Foz do Arelho village. Nortada funnels through the lagoon mouth creating consistent 14-22 kt flat-water conditions April-September. Sandy bottom, calm water; ideal for beginners. Best at high tide when the lagoon is full. Kite school on-site. Note: crowded in July-August and sometimes prohibited in peak summer — check local rules.
