The access road has been closed due to an increased risk of falling stones from the cliffs. Before visiting, check the current status of the road locally or with accommodation hosts in the area. Reaching the beach may require a hike, so plan accordingly and do not arrive expecting easy vehicle access.

Wing foiling, windsurfing, and SUP are the disciplines most suited to this spot. Launching from rocks or the small beach section lends itself to these activities. Kite launching in such a confined cove with high cliffs on all sides would require very careful assessment and is generally not recommended without detailed local knowledge.

The cliffs present an ongoing rockfall risk, which is why the access road has been closed. The beach itself is narrow and enclosed by high cliff walls. The launch area involves rocks, which can be slippery and unforgiving. Once on the water, the waves are powerful and the environment is relatively committing — getting back to the beach in a difficult situation is not straightforward.

Given the wave focus, a board suited to wave riding or foiling will make the most of what Aigues Blanques offers. Wear appropriate protection for rocky launches — booties are a sensible choice. Bring everything you need with you since facilities at the beach itself are very limited. Given the hike in, pack light but do not cut corners on safety kit.
