You're not going to find a crowded resort scene here; this is proper Atlantic kiting with open water, wave potential, and a landscape that earns its protected status. Ribeira is the nearest town of any size, and from there you follow the coast road south toward the cape. The beach is long enough that you'll want to orient yourself before unrigging — the kite zone sits south of the lagoon mouth, and the nature reserve rules mean staying within that boundary isn't just good practice, it's mandatory. First visit? Scout from the road before committing to any particular stretch of sand. The wind window runs 180° to 0° — south through west to north — meaning SW, W, and NW winds all come in onshore or cross-onshore along this W-SW-facing coastline.
