It's a wide, open bay with decent fetch — the kind of setup that rewards consistent westerly weather rather than glassy conditions. Getting here centres on Ängelholm town, which sits just behind the beach and is the nearest hub for fuel, food, and logistics. The main beach facilities are in the town centre, so factor that into your planning rather than expecting everything to be poolside. The launch is straight off the sandy beach. With the shore normal pointing roughly southwest, the usable wind arc runs from 145° to 305° — southeast through south, southwest, west, and into the northwest. The sweet spot is southwest to west: those Atlantic winds come in cross-onshore, which means a reasonable launch angle without the complications of a fully onshore or purely sideshore situation. You can work the beach without constantly managing a difficult downwind run. Out on the water, the bay generates chop when the wind has been blowing for a while. The fetch across Skälderviken is real, and in stronger conditions you'll feel it — short, active chop rather than anything long and rolling. This isn't a spot for flat-water tricks or unhurried cruising. It suits riders who are comfortable handling their kite in lively water and want a proper coastal session with some texture to it. After the session, Bjäre Fisk & Skaldjur offers fish and seafood about 1.7 kilometres from the shore — a straightforward post-kite choice. This is northern Europe, so respect the conditions accordingly. Outside summer months the water gets cold, and a full wetsuit is standard kit rather than an optional extra.
