Getting there means working your way to the end of the Garden State Parkway and into Cape May town, then continuing south to the point. Parking is available near Cape May Point State Park and Sunset Beach, though summer weekends bring crowds and the lots fill up. The beach can narrow depending on tide and season, so walk the spot before you rig — there's a difference between a clean stretch of sand and a tight corridor with swimmers in the mix. The usable wind arc runs 90° to 270°, but the sweet spot is SW through NW, with typical sessions in the 12–22 knot range. This is a migratory-pattern spot at heart. Spring and fall are the money seasons — frontal systems push through with real consistency, and NW cold fronts following storm passages can produce some of the strongest, cleanest wind on the East Coast.
