About

This kiteboarding instruction program on the North Shore prioritizes developing student independence in actual riding conditions. Lessons are scheduled around optimal wind conditions rather than fixed time slots. The curriculum progresses through six core skill phases: equipment safety and wind mechanics, kite flight control, body dragging techniques, water starts and board control, upwind riding edge management, and supervised solo sessions. The instructional approach emphasizes technical precision and student-specific pacing based on natural conditions and individual ability. Equipment including kite, bar, board, and harness is provided; students only need to bring their own wetsuit and booties.
