The launch is a sandy beach with typically calm inshore water. The usable kite arc runs 55°–215°, orienting the spot toward winds from the northeast through southeast and round to south-southwest. That window suits the afternoon thermal sea breeze that fills in off the Mediterranean during warmer months, as well as easterly and southeastern wind directions. One thing to watch: on strong sea-breeze afternoons the wind can build faster than it looks, so err on the side of a smaller kite if you're unsure. Post-session options are genuinely good. Bijou Plage and La Cabane work as beach-restaurant anchors. Tamaris, La Dolce Vita, and Pomme D'Api are all within easy reach. For something more upscale, Zuma Cannes and Bâoli are both in the immediate area. Medusa covers the bar-and-café side, and Fred l'écaillaier brings the seafood angle. This is an urban kite beach — you are in Cannes, not a remote lagoon, and it feels like it. But if you want school support, a well-stocked beachfront, and a reliable sea-breeze window that dodges the northwesterly, Palm Beach is a solid choice on the Riviera.
