Work your way downwind and the water opens up into a mix of flat-to-medium chop for freestyle and small to medium waves that reward wave riders. The spot doesn't ask you to choose a discipline — both sit comfortably within the same stretch of water. The Meltemi — the north-northwest Etesian wind that defines the Aegean summer — arrives side-shore from the right here. That's a near-ideal direction: cross-shore pressure delivers consistent loading on the kite, and a natural drift toward the beach gives you a manageable safety margin if things go wrong. Typical conditions run 15–25 knots from June through September. On stronger days the wind can push well beyond the top of that range, making power management the key skill on the water. The hazard here isn't subtlety; it's the opposite. The Meltemi is reliable but not clockwork. Plan for a week and you'll almost certainly bank several solid sessions.
