Kitesurfing Keros Beach (Lemnos)

North Aegean, Greece

Wind & Conditions

A 3 km-long, north-east-facing sandy beach on the eastern side of Lemnos island, sheltered from swell but exposed to the prevailing N-to-NE Meltemi that arrives cross-shore. The northern section (near the kite school at Kalliopi village) offers smooth, flat water directly off the beach — ideal for beginners and freestyle. The central section has more chop; the southern end occasionally receives small waves. Wind typically starts around 09:00 and holds well into the afternoon (4–7 Beaufort). One of the few Greek island spots with reliable flat water for learning. Season May–September.
