Kitesurfing Grado Pineta

Gorizia, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy

Wind & Conditions

Flat-water kite spot on the Grado lagoon side (Pineta) in the Gulf of Venice. Best with NE Bora wind (cross-shore); SE, S and SW also work. Sandbank 100–500 m offshore creates butter-flat water inside and wave/chop outside. Shore faces SSW (shore_normal 185°). Mind the tide: 60–80 cm tidal range significantly changes depth. Consistent wind year-round with Bora spells.
