The beach faces due east, and that orientation defines everything about how this spot rides. The two winds that make Marina di Ravenna work are the NE Bora and the northerly Tramontana. Both arrive cross-onshore to cross-shore relative to the east-facing beach, which keeps the kite lines manageable and the launch area clean. The Bora is the one to plan around: it can fire hard and gust unpredictably, as Adriatic riders know, so intermediate experience with power management is the real entry ticket here. This is an intermediate-to-advanced spot — not a place to consolidate your first beach starts. The best windows are spring and autumn. The summer beach season fills the sandy shore with umbrellas and sunbathers, leaving little practical space for kitesurfers. Come outside that window and you get the beach largely to yourself, the winds are more reliable, and the moderate wave conditions that the Bora and Tramontana push up give you something to work with on the water. When either is running, the setup is cross-onshore, which is forgiving for entry and exit. For launching, the sandy beach is flat and the east-facing shore means wind from the N-NE comes in at a reliable cross angle. Watch the Bora's gusty edge — its power spikes are the main thing to manage during your session. After you come in, the town strip has you covered. Bar Timone, Baretto, Bar Negramaro, CVR, Caffè del Mare, and Joyta Caffè&Aperitivi are all close for coffee or a cold drink. On the food side, Al cartoccio, Circolo ANMI, Coccomeri, and Gusto Pizza round out the options. It's a proper beach town, so the post-session logistics are straightforward.
