Spring is the window to aim for. April and May bring the kind of clean, building thermals that make a session feel predictable — not howling, but consistent. Summer crowds push up the beach density, which means more attention required at launch and landing. Come winter, the equation shifts: when the sirocco moves in across the Mediterranean, wave action arrives at Can Pastilla and the conditions get more interesting and considerably less beginner-friendly. The resort beach environment means a lot of people in the water during high summer — plan your launch zone carefully, give yourself room, and keep an eye upwind before committing. There are no remote access headaches here: Playa de Palma is well-serviced, with the airport infrastructure meaning car hire and transport options are about as straightforward as they get anywhere on the island.
