The wind picture is dominated by W/SW thermals, typically running 18 to 35 knots — a proper range that suits freeride sessions at the lower end and more demanding riding toward the top. With the shore facing roughly SW, these thermals arrive cross-onshore, giving you a forgiving angle for water starts and enough cross component to make upwind work accessible. The Levante — the Mediterranean easterly blowing in from E/NE — also makes appearances here, arriving sideshore from the right when it does. The viable kite window runs 155° through 305°, covering the main thermal directions and the Levante. The water is typical Mediterranean: generally flat to choppy in a sheltered bay setting. Not a wave spot, but consistent enough for technique work, progression, and clocking mileage. Conditions suit intermediates and up well; complete beginners will find the kite school structure helpful for getting started safely. One thing to build your calendar around: the beach closes to kitesurfing from 15 June to 15 September. Bathing season takes over completely and there is no negotiating with that. Outside that window — autumn through winter and into spring — you have reliable thermals and mild Andalusian conditions with far fewer people around.
