Barrinha is a small lagoon on the Ceará coast in northeastern Brazil, close to the fishing village of Baleia. It sits in the middle of the Preá–Guajiru downwind corridor — one of Brazil's most celebrated stretches of kiteable coastline — and works as a natural waypoint for riders threading the trade-wind run between those two better-known spots. The lagoon itself is the headline. Compact and sheltered, it delivers flat water in conditions where the open coast nearby can be choppier, which makes it genuinely useful for anyone who wants to work on technique rather than just survive ocean chop. Shallow and largely protected, it is a more forgiving environment for a water start than the full-exposure beach further along the coast. Wind runs on Ceará's dependable trade-wind rhythm. The prevailing flow is easterly, arriving side-onshore in the 15–25 knot range — steady and consistent rather than gusty or variable.
