Getting there is straightforward: Florianópolis is well-connected by road, and the lagoon sits centrally on the island, making it accessible from the city and from the coast. The launch area itself is served by multiple kite schools that have set up along the shore, so if you're arriving without local knowledge, there's always someone around to orient you. The wind picture is the reason people come back. NE and N winds funnel into the lagoon and arrive reasonably consistent, typically in the 15–25 knot range. The usable arc runs from NNE through to SSE, which means northeast through to southeast directions all give you a workable session — S-component winds included. The best window runs September through November, when the regional weather pattern tends to deliver the most reliable wind. That said, it can blow outside this period; it just becomes patchier.
