Lac de Salagou sits in a volcanic landscape near Clermont-l'Hérault in Occitanie, southern France. The reservoir is set into ancient volcanic red rock that gives the surrounding hills their distinctive reddish terracotta colour and makes this one of the more visually striking kite spots in France.
