Small tidal island in the Ambracian Gulf connected to the mainland by a scenic causeway, near the town of Arta in the Epirus region. The thermal afternoon wind from the west-northwest arrives onshore at 10–20 kt, building from around 13:00 and lasting until early evening. The enclosed gulf keeps water flat and shallow (sandy bottom with sea-grass patches). Three seasonal tavernas on the island. Free camping tolerated. Beginner-friendly in mild conditions; sea urchins present, booties recommended. Wildlife highlight: flamingos and loggerhead turtles visible from the water. Season April–September.
