The Meltemi blows predominantly onshore from the north, compressed and accelerated by the surrounding hills; wind corridors at the eastern and western ends of the bay add variability. Conditions range from 15 to 30 kt during high season, making this primarily a spot for experienced riders. The western side of the bay produces small waves; the eastern side stays flatter. Season May–September, most reliable June–August.
