The NW/WNW wind comes in cross-offshore over the bay, generating both reliable power in the kite window and clean wave faces for down-the-line riding. The Pacific swell does the heavy lifting for wave quality, and spring is when that swell peaks — though the season runs February through November, giving a long, reliable window with spring as the standout period.
