About Haouzia

Haouzia sits on an exposed stretch of Atlantic coastline between El Jadida and Azemmour in Morocco's Casablanca-Settat region. It's the kind of beach that hasn't been dressed up for visitors — wide sand, minimal development, and a rusting shipwreck sitting offshore that tells you exactly what kind of ocean you're dealing with here. The D301 coastal road is your route in. Once you're off the main track and down at the water, the beach opens up with room to rig without competition. Sandy underfoot and wide, which gives you flexibility on where to set up. Low development cuts both ways though: there's no kite school on site, no gear rental, no organised beach support. Wind arrives side-onshore within an arc covering south through west to nearly north. The Atlantic exposure is full and unobstructed, which means the wind carries real fetch and the swell reflects it. Haouzia runs larger and more committed waves than El Jadida up the coast — that's what draws riders here. If you came to Morocco looking for genuine wave sessions rather than flatwater, this is where conditions step up. The water demands respect. Atlantic swells push in with more energy than they show from shore, and this stretch of coast isn't a forgiving environment for anyone still building confidence. The offshore shipwreck is a fixed landmark — useful for orientation during your session, but a hard obstacle to account for on any extended downwind run. Reading the water before you launch is essential; this is an open Atlantic beach, not a managed kite zone. Skill level: intermediate to advanced. Riders who can handle a powered kite in open ocean conditions and read swell will find it rewarding. Beginners should build up at more sheltered spots along the coast before tackling Haouzia. For facilities, the surrounding area covers the essentials. Barista El Haouzia and Café amouaj el haouzia are restaurant options close to the beach. La Perle is another nearby spot for food. On the accommodation side, Hôtel Restaurant Les Remparts and IBIZA HOTEL are local options; Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort, Pullman Mazagan Royal Golf & Spa, and Zephyr Mazagan are full-resort properties in the area. شاطىء الحوزية also offers accommodation nearby. Haouzia doesn't put on a show for you. Wide sand, honest Atlantic wind, committed swell, and a shipwreck for a landmark. The D301 gets you there; the ocean does the rest.
