The beach launches face ENE, roughly 060°, which means the Amihan — the Northeast monsoon that dominates this coast from November through April — arrives cross-onshore. The usable wind arc runs 208° to 28°, giving a generous window on both sides of the dominant NE direction. The lagoon is the headline. Flat water, enclosed geometry, and consistent cross-onshore flow create conditions that suit intermediates sharpening technique and confident beginners under supervision. The limestone formations that keep the swell out also keep the surface remarkably manageable even when the Amihan pushes toward its upper range. What you won't find is any kite infrastructure. No schools, no rentals, nothing listed on the island. You arrive self-sufficient: your own gear, your own safety plan, your own reads on the wind. That's the trade-off for a location this remote and this unspoiled. November through April is the window. Outside those months, the Amihan gives way and conditions become less predictable and far less suitable for a dedicated kite trip. Within the season, the mid-season months — when the NE trade settles into its rhythm — tend to be the most consistent. The karst geometry that makes the lagoon so appealing also demands attention. Limestone cliffs, potentially submerged rock formations, and the confined water space mean you need to know your upwind limits before pushing into anything technical. Read the lay of the lagoon before you start exploring its edges. Skill level: the flat water and cross-onshore flow make this accessible to intermediates, but remoteness tips the risk profile upward. No rescue infrastructure, no rental safety net. Experienced riders will find the setup relaxed and rewarding. Less confident riders should have an experienced partner in the water alongside them.
