The main launch area is Kite Board Plajı (Kite Board Beach) in Haylazlı Mahallesi, located next to the Balıkçı Kooperatifi (fishermen's cooperative). The sandy beach provides reasonable space for kite setup, but be aware of fishing activity in the area, especially in the mornings.

The primary hazard consideration is the influence of Yelkoma Lagoon on wind behavior — the sheltered geography can lead to variable gusts and inconsistent wind patterns, so launching without a solid read of conditions isn't advisable. Fishing boats and cooperative activity near the launch beach also warrant attention. Always maintain clear space from any vessels or equipment on the shore.

Given that the spot is in a sheltered lagoon setting with potentially lighter or variable winds, bringing a range of kite sizes is sensible. A larger kite (12–17m) is likely to be useful for lighter wind days, while a mid-range kite (9–12m) covers stronger thermal periods.
