Arabat Spit is a 120-kilometre strip of narrow sand separating the Sea of Azov to the east from the Syvash lagoon to the west. The spot sits in Kherson Oblast in southern Ukraine, remote by any measure, but that remoteness is precisely what makes it worth the effort. No crowds, no jet-skis — just flat warm water in both directions and a consistent wind window across a long season. Getting here takes planning. The spit is isolated, and there are no kite centres or rental shops on site, so arrive self-sufficient: pump, repair kit, and enough food and water for your session. The nearest restaurants are Cruise and Kafe "Arabat·sʹkyy Bastion", both around 9 to 10 kilometres from the kite area — close enough as a fallback, but far enough that you want to plan around them rather than depend on them mid-session.
