The 15–20 minute tuk-tuk ride from central Mui Ne buys you a kilometre-plus of open sand with noticeably less competition for launch space. The beach itself is wide and sandy, giving you proper room to rig, run your lines, and land without negotiating with other riders. Wave spacing here is cleaner than at Ham Tien — the spot to the north — with more defined sets and less chop interference. That makes Ganh Beach a genuine destination for wave riding and downwind runs, not just a fallback when the main spots are crowded. Wind runs ENE to NE from October through April, typically holding in the 15–25 knot range through the core season. The wind arc of 50° to 230° covers the prevailing direction comfortably, giving you a solid usable kite window across most of the season. Standard caution applies: assess what's downwind before you launch, and take extra care given that on-site support is thinner here than at the central Mui Ne spots. Getting there is straightforward — tuk-tuk drivers in Mui Ne know Malibu Beach by name. If you're staying in the main resort area, budget 15–20 minutes each way. This is not a spot you rock up to unprepared: services on the beach itself are limited, so sort your kit and instruction before making the trip. For lessons or equipment, Muine Kitesurf School (MKS), Kitenam Kite Surf, and the school at No Mad Hotel Mui Ne all operate in the Mui Ne area — contact them ahead of time to confirm they run sessions at Ganh Beach specifically. Accommodation close to the beach includes Malibu Resort Mui Ne, Muine Bay Resort, and Blue Shell Resort. Between sessions, Jibe's Beach Club, Mango Beach, Nirvana Beach Club, and Café Blue Lagoon Restaurant cover food and drinks. This spot suits intermediate to advanced riders best. The wave character and open beach layout reward those comfortable in moving water who can handle some variation in conditions. Beginners are better off building their base at the more service-rich central spots first, then heading south when they're ready. October to April is the window. The northeast trades set in reliably across Binh Thuan during these months, and Mui Ne is well-regarded for seasonal consistency. Outside this period, wind drops off significantly and the trip out is hard to justify. Bring your own water and plan meals around the nearby restaurants — shade and on-beach supplies are limited.
