Eristos Beach sits on the western flank of Tilos, one of the quieter islands in the South Aegean Dodecanese chain. The bay runs for 1.5 kilometres of uninterrupted sandy beach, facing directly into the Aegean's prevailing summer wind — a long, generous stretch of sand that gives you room to rig, launch, and make mistakes without crowding anyone. Tilos hasn't been discovered by the kite crowd yet, which is a genuine advantage if you're after uncomplicated sessions over busy beaches. Getting here requires a ferry — typically from Rhodes or Kos — so factor travel logistics into your planning. Once on the island, Eristos is a short drive from the main settlement of Livadia, and the beach road brings you directly to the sand. Parking near the beach is straightforward. Set up in the central section of the bay where you have the most room to work with. The wind engine here is the Meltemi, the classic northern Aegean summer thermal that hits Tilos from the northwest.
