Getting here typically means approaching from Puri or Bhubaneswar, with Konark a small town anchored by the Sun Temple. The beach can get significantly busier during the annual Konark Festival in December — a major cultural event drawing visitors from across India — so if you're planning a dedicated kite trip that month, scope the beach before you rig.
