Flecheiras sits roughly 130 km west of Fortaleza on Ceará's Atlantic coast, inside the municipality of Trairi. It's the kind of spot that circulates by word of mouth — an uncrowded beach backed by dunes where the east trade wind arrives side-onshore and holds through a long, reliable season. If you're working your way along the Ceará coast and want consistent wind without the crowds that the better-known spots attract, this belongs on the list. The beach is wide and open, with a dune landscape that gives the whole place a remote, unhurried feel. The dunes frame the launch area and add visual drama, though any time you're launching near dunes it pays to walk your kite toward the water's edge where the airflow is cleaner before you pump up and go. The beach typically stays quiet — you'll share it with fishermen and their jangadas more often than with other kiters. Wind comes from the east, hitting the beach side-onshore across a usable arc from 295° through 75°. The trade wind runs 15–25 knots from roughly July through January — steady enough to plan flights around. On lighter days the spot opens up to intermediates wanting to build water time in relaxed conditions; on stronger afternoons you'll want to size down and the riding gets more dynamic. The consistent side-onshore direction means there's always a natural downwind line to work with, and the water stays generally calm — protected from serious ocean swell, well suited to freeriding and cruising rather than wave work. The spot's most talked-about feature is the downwind run to Guajiru, approximately 6 km up the coast. It's a natural session: launch at Flecheiras, kite the corridor, land at Guajiru where the infrastructure is more developed. Several schools operate across this stretch — Clube da Prancha, DK SURF E KITE, Guajiru Kite Center, and La Casa Di Pietra all cover lessons and gear hire. If you're arriving without equipment, options exist. For food after a session, the area is well covered: Flecheiras Point, Jangadas Restô Bar, Lá na Chris - Bar e Bistrô, Maria Bonita Pizzaria & Restaurante, and Nonô Restaurante e Pizzaria all sit within reach.
